In addition to all other Health & Safety Guidelines from the State, OHA, OYSA and SESC:

Players Need to Know:

* Stay home if you have any Covid-19 like symptoms

* Wear a properly fitting face that covers your nose and mouth when coming to the field, during a game and after game when leaving

* Have an extra face covering in case it is needed to replace a damaged or wet one

* Be sure to bring both sets of jerseys to every game

* You cannot enter the field area until previous teams have left. Remain in your car until clear

* Use hand sanitizer prior to, at half-time and after game

Guardians/Parents Need to Know:

No spectators are currently allowed at any fields in Oregon under OHA Risk Level Guidance 

o Guardian/Parent allowed onto the field to help an injured player

Risk Level Guidance Chart 

o Each team must nominate a COVID Field Monitor

▪ Monitor will wear a brightly colored vest – provided by SESC to coach to hand out to parent/guardian acting as monitor

▪ Monitors are allowed to be on the field sideline closest to the parking area

▪ Monitors can watch the game while monitoring the field and surrounding area

▪ Monitors from both teams involved in a game are encouraged to work together in gently reminding their teams of the NO SPECTATOR RULE when violated

▪ Monitors should call the League Hotline number (971 732 9897) to report any issues and receive further guidance 

* Check child’s temperature before game is below 100.4

o No games on Easter Sunday 4/4 or over spring break

o 8 games – Sundays 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/14, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2

o Check for possible changes to team schedules on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday mornings

• OYSA 2020-21 Competitive League U11-U14 schedules – posted in 2 to 3 week blocks

o 6 games between 1/30 and 3/14 on Friday/Saturday/Sunday

o 3/20, 3/21, 3/27, and 3/28 are optional play dates for rescheduled games

o Check for possible changes to team schedules on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday mornings

o Schedules for 2/12-2/28 will be released around 2/8

o Schedules for March will be released late February

*On game day, any questions that aren’t answered in the League Rules should be called into the League Hotline number – 971 732 9897

* OYSA will communicate schedule changes by 4PM PT the day before your scheduled game when winter weather could impact the game. Emergency cancellations may occur after 4PM PT the day before your scheduled game

* If weather conditions worsen making travel impossible/game unplayable, call/text Chad Ruhoff at 503 724 9844 who would then contact OYSA’s League Manager. A coach/team manager cannot call the League Hotline number and refuse to travel/play

o Coaches are responsible for keeping attendance records. OYSA may request attendance for contact tracing purposes

o Guardian/parent RSVPs via Game Changer Team Manager App tracks attendance & Covid-19 Health Questionnaire entries

* Use and dispense/ask players to use hand sanitizer before and after games

* Have guardian/parent contact information handy in case of emergency – GameChanger Team Manager App recommended

* Referees may abandon a game for player/coach refusal to wear/keep face covering over nose and mouth. Teams may be fined/removed from league if game abandoned 

* Team bench/sideline area must be at least 6 feet from touch line to allow physical distancing from assistant referees

* Referee will take a printed roster from the head coach

* Head coach will read off player names and show player cards to referee. Digital Player Passes can be used in place of player cards

* Ensure team has left the field within 5 minutes of game ending

* Use designated exits and leave only after all players have been picked up
